About 5mm White LED with Resistor Load Set

The 5mm White LED with Resistor Load Set is an essential basic electronic component for every prototyping box, school lab and maker workbench. A 5mm through-hole LED is easy to insert into breadboards, perfboards and PCBs, making it perfect for quick visual feedback in electronic circuits. The cool white light output is useful wherever a clear indication is required, such as power-on status, microcontroller pin output, sensor activity, continuity indication or simple decorative lighting. This LED works like a standard diode that emits light when forward biased. For reliable operation, it must be used with a series resistor to limit current. The included resistor load set helps beginners and professionals quickly build test circuits without searching for a separate current-limiting resistor. The LED is commonly operated around 20mA rated forward current, and supplier-listed forward voltage may vary by batch, so final product designs should always be verified using the resistor value, supply voltage and measured LED voltage. For Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi GPIO, 8051, AVR and other microcontroller projects, connect the LED in series with a suitable resistor rather than directly across the supply. The longer lead is normally the anode (+), while the shorter lead and flat side of the LED body indicate the cathode (-). This makes polarity identification easy for classroom experiments and breadboard wiring. Use it for LED blink programs, digital output testing, battery indicators, mini panels, STEM kits, model projects, opto-sensor demonstrations and general electronics repair. The pack contains a 5mm white through-hole LED and matching resistor load/current-limiting components for prototyping use; check resistor colour code before powering the circuit, especially on higher voltage supplies.
