Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 March 2026

Governing law: India. These terms are informational and contractual between you and the operator of TecnoMate. Statutory consumer and data-protection rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law remain unaffected.

1. Parties, Site, and Eligibility

“TecnoMate”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the business operating the website and related services branded TecnoMate, with registered address at Chandrangan Phase 1, Ambegaon BK, Pune, Maharashtra 411046, India. “You” means any visitor or customer. The website and services together are the “Site”. You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

2. Acceptance, Electronic Records, and Changes

By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, placing an order, or using any interactive feature (including any AI-assisted tool), you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Returns & Refunds policy, which are incorporated by reference. Communications, acknowledgements, and records in electronic form are valid under the Information Technology Act, 2000, where applicable. We may amend these terms; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.

3. Products, Services, and Safety

We sell DIY electronics project materials, documentation, optional components, related goods (including fragrances where listed), and ancillary services. Products are not sold as finished assembled devices unless expressly stated. Descriptions, stock, prices, images, specifications, and availability may change without notice.

3.1 Illustrations and substitutions

Images and diagrams are illustrative. Actual items may differ in appearance, packaging, colour, batch, or minor specifications. We may supply equivalent substitute components where necessary without materially reducing functionality.

3.2 Electronics and safety

DIY electronics involve electricity, soldering, tools, and software. You are solely responsible for safe assembly, testing, and use, compliance with local regulations, and supervision of minors. We are not liable for injury, property damage, or data loss arising from misuse, incorrect wiring, modified designs, or reliance on any instructions or suggestions (including from AI tools).

3.3 Fragrances and personal care

Perfumes and similar products may cause allergy or skin sensitivity in some individuals. Use as directed on labelling and discontinue use if irritation occurs. Product information on the Site is not medical advice.

4. AI-Generated, AI-Assisted, and Automated Content

Parts of the Site—including but not limited to product descriptions, FAQs, marketing copy, SEO pages, category blurbs, image or media assets, search or recommendation rankings, chat or troubleshooting assistants, and email or notification drafts—may be created, edited, summarised, translated, or personalised using artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems, including third-party models and APIs.

  • Not human-reviewed by default: Such content may not have been individually reviewed by a person before publication. It should not be treated as professional engineering, legal, financial, medical, or safety advice.
  • Accuracy: AI systems can produce errors, omissions, outdated statements, or “hallucinated” details. Specifications, compatibility, pricing hints, code snippets, and wiring guidance must be verified against official datasheets, your order confirmation, and qualified professionals where appropriate.
  • No reliance: You use all AI-exposed content at your sole risk. We do not warrant accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any purpose.
  • No confidential training obligation: Unless we state otherwise in writing, you should not submit trade secrets or highly sensitive personal data into public AI interfaces. Our Privacy Policy describes how inputs may be processed.

5. Orders, Pricing, Taxes, Payment, and Cancellation

  • Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated. Applicable taxes (e.g. GST) are included or shown as required by law.
  • Display errors, system glitches, or obvious mistakes may result in cancellation or correction of an order; we will refund any amount paid if we cancel for such reasons.
  • Payment is via RBI-regulated payment aggregators (e.g. Razorpay). We do not store full card numbers or CVV. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
  • A payment gateway fee may be added to your order to cover the transaction charge levied by our payment provider. It depends on the payment method you select: UPI carries no fee, while card, net banking and wallet payments carry a fee (currently 2.36% of the payable amount, being the provider's 2% charge plus 18% GST on that charge). The fee is always shown as a separate line in your order summary before you confirm payment, forms part of the order total, and is refunded with the order value on a full refund. See our Payments Policy for details.
  • We may refuse, limit, or cancel orders for fraud risk controls, export or legal compliance, stock unavailability, or breach of these terms.
  • You must provide accurate shipping, billing, and contact information. Risk of loss for physical goods passes as set out in our shipping communications and applicable sale-of-goods practice in India, subject to mandatory consumer rules.

6. Shipping, Delivery, and Title

Delivery timelines are estimates. Delays caused by carriers, weather, force majeure, customs (if any), or events outside our control are not guaranteed. Title to goods passes in accordance with applicable law and our commercial terms once payment is received and goods are dispatched, except where the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or e-commerce rules provide otherwise.

Delivery charges are dynamic and calculated per order. You are charged the courier's actual charge for your delivery pincode and parcel weight, plus a fixed ₹10 packaging fee and a ₹6 platform fee. The delivery charge and its breakdown are displayed at checkout before payment, and that displayed amount is what you are charged. Standard delivery is free on orders above ₹2,000. Express delivery is offered only where a genuinely faster courier serves your pincode, and is priced on the same basis.

7. Intellectual Property and Licence

All trademarks, logos, software, text, graphics, documentation, and compilations on the Site are owned by us or our licensors and protected under Indian copyright, trademark, and related laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to access the Site and use purchased materials for personal or educational use as stated at purchase. You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell our documentation as a standalone product, or remove proprietary notices. Open-source or third-party components remain under their respective licences.

8. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable central or state law of India or any other jurisdiction
  • Use the Site to transmit malware, spam, or unlawful content; interfere with security or performance; or attempt unauthorised access to systems or data
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to extract data at scale without our written consent, except as allowed by robots.txt or applicable law
  • Harass staff, impersonate others, or submit fraudulent payment or identity information
  • Use our products or content to build weapons, illegal surveillance, or other unlawful applications

We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, and cooperate with authorities where appropriate, including under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules framed thereunder.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may link to or embed third parties (payment, logistics, analytics, ads, maps, AI providers). Their terms and privacy policies govern those services. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or conduct.

10. User Accounts and Security

You are responsible for credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of suspected compromise. We may require verification, reset passwords, or close accounts that breach these terms or pose security risk.

11. Disclaimers

THE SITE, PRODUCTS, SERVICES, AND ALL CONTENT (INCLUDING AI-GENERATED OR AI-ASSISTED CONTENT) ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. NOTHING ON THE SITE OVERRIDES MANDATORY WARRANTIES OR REMEDIES UNDER THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 2019, WHERE THEY APPLY TO YOU AS A CONSUMER.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in India, we and our affiliates, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from use of the Site, products, AI tools, or third-party services—even if advised of the possibility.

Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to these terms or the Site (except where prohibited) shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) ₹5,000. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited (including certain fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or statutory consumer rights where applicable).

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TecnoMate and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, fines, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the Site, your content or submissions, violation of these terms, violation of third-party rights, or misuse of products—including claims related to reliance on AI-generated guidance or assembly of DIY kits.

14. Force Majeure, Severability, Assignment, Entire Agreement

We are not liable for failure or delay due to events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, war, riots, internet or power failures, government action, pandemics, strikes, supplier failures). If any provision is held invalid, the remainder stays in effect. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These terms, with the policies linked above, constitute the entire agreement regarding the Site unless a separate signed agreement states otherwise.

15. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Alternate Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of India, including without limitation: the Indian Contract Act, 1872; the Consumer Protection Act, 2019; the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020; the Information Technology Act, 2000; the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (as applicable to our role); the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (where in force); and applicable tax, payment, and e-commerce regulations. Subject to mandatory consumer fora, courts at Pune, Maharashtra, India, shall have exclusive jurisdiction. A consumer may still approach the appropriate District Consumer Commission or other statutory authority.

16. Grievance Officer and Consumer Redressal

For order, refund, payment, and service grievances, contact our Grievance Officer: email [email protected], phone +91 91303 50359. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 business hours and resolve within timelines consistent with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and RBI payment guidelines where applicable.
