About DHT11 Temperature & Humidity Sensor

The DHT11 Temperature & Humidity Sensor Module is one of the most popular beginner-friendly sensors for measuring indoor environmental conditions. It combines a resistive humidity sensing element, an NTC temperature sensor and an onboard 8-bit microcontroller that processes the measurement and sends calibrated digital data to your controller. Because the output is digital, the module is simple to connect to Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico and many other development boards without needing an analog input pin. This DHT11 module is designed for basic temperature and relative humidity monitoring in the 0°C to 50°C temperature range and 20% to 90% RH humidity range. It is best suited for indoor projects where moderate accuracy is sufficient, such as room climate displays, mini weather stations, automation demos, plant environment monitoring and educational electronics labs. The sensor typically operates from 3.3V to 5.5V, so it works with both 3.3V and 5V logic ecosystems. Communication is through a single serial data line using the DHT protocol. Most Arduino IDE and MicroPython examples support DHT11 libraries, allowing users to read temperature and humidity values with only a few lines of code. The module version usually provides easy 3-pin wiring: VCC, DATA and GND. Many DHT11 breakout boards include the required pull-up resistor on the data line, simplifying breadboard and jumper-wire use; verify the board markings before connecting. Use this sensor when you need an economical, readily available digital temperature and humidity module for learning, prototyping or low-cost monitoring. For applications requiring wider range, faster response or higher precision, consider DHT22/AM2302, AHT10, SHT31 or BME280 modules. Package includes 1 x DHT11 Temperature & Humidity Sensor Module.
