About ESP32 DevKit V1 WiFi + Bluetooth Development Board (30-pin)
The ESP32 DevKit V1 WiFi + Bluetooth Development Board 30-pin is one of the most popular ESP32 prototyping boards for connected electronics projects in India. Built around the ESP32-WROOM-32 module, it combines a fast dual-core Tensilica Xtensa LX6 microcontroller with integrated 2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2, including Bluetooth Classic and BLE. This makes it suitable for projects that need wireless control, cloud connectivity, mobile app communication or local sensor networks.
The board works by using the onboard USB-to-UART interface to program the ESP32 through the Micro USB port. It can be powered directly from USB or through the VIN pin, while the onboard regulator provides 3.3V for the ESP32 module. The 30-pin DevKit V1 layout exposes commonly used GPIO pins along both sides of the board, including digital I/O, ADC inputs, DAC outputs, UART, SPI, I2C, PWM-capable pins and touch-capable pins. It also includes EN/Reset and BOOT buttons for development and firmware upload control.
This ESP32 development board is widely used with Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, PlatformIO and MicroPython, making it easy to move from beginner experiments to advanced embedded applications. Use it for smart home automation, WiFi sensor nodes, BLE beacons, web servers, MQTT devices, robotics control, data logging, motor control interfaces and DIY IoT dashboards. Compared with basic 8-bit microcontroller boards, the ESP32 offers more processing power, wireless connectivity and peripheral flexibility in a compact, low-cost module.
Package includes one ESP32 DevKit V1 30-pin development board. Pin notes: ESP32 GPIOs operate at 3.3V logic and are not 5V tolerant. Some pins are used during boot strapping or flash operation, so check the pinout before connecting external hardware, especially for boot-sensitive pins such as GPIO0, GPIO2, GPIO12 and GPIO15.
