INA219 I2C Current Voltage Power Sensor Module

The INA219 I2C Current Voltage Power Sensor Module is a compact high-side DC power monitor for measuring bus voltage, load current and calculated power from microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi and STM32. Based on the Texas Instruments INA219 zero-drift current-sense IC, it supports 3V to 5.5V logic, up to 26V bus measurement and bidirectional current sensing through an onboard shunt, making it ideal for battery, solar, robotics and power-supply monitoring projects.

About INA219 I2C Current Voltage Power Sensor Module

The INA219 I2C Current, Voltage and Power Sensor Module is a practical breakout board for anyone who needs accurate DC power monitoring without adding bulky meters to a project. It uses the Texas Instruments INA219 high-side current and bus-voltage monitor IC, allowing the sensor to be placed on the positive supply line of a load. This makes it especially useful for battery-powered electronics, solar charging systems, robotics, IoT nodes and laboratory prototypes where you want to know how much current a circuit is actually consuming. The module measures the voltage drop across its onboard low-value shunt resistor and reports current digitally over the I2C interface. It also measures the bus voltage up to 26V and can provide calculated power readings after software calibration. Because communication is digital, it connects using only SDA, SCL, VCC and GND, and multiple INA219 modules can be used on the same I2C bus by changing the address pins or solder jumpers, depending on the breakout version. This INA219 sensor works with 3.3V and 5V controllers, making it suitable for Arduino UNO/Nano, ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Raspberry Pi Pico, STM32 and other development boards. Typical breakout modules include screw-terminal or header connections for the measured supply path, along with logic pins for easy breadboard or jumper-wire use. With programmable gain and ADC settings, the INA219 can be configured for higher resolution at lower currents or a wider range for loads up to approximately ±3.2A when used with the common 0.1 ohm shunt module design. Use it to monitor motor current, estimate battery runtime, log solar panel output, test DC-DC converter efficiency or add live power telemetry to your embedded system. Package typically includes one INA219 current/voltage/power sensor breakout module; headers may be supplied loose or pre-soldered depending on stock batch.
