About MB-102 830 Tie-Point Solderless Breadboard
The MB-102 830 tie-point solderless breadboard is one of the most widely used prototyping platforms for electronics learning, DIY projects and circuit testing. It allows you to plug in components and jumper wires directly, so you can create, modify and troubleshoot circuits quickly without using a soldering iron. This makes it perfect for beginners as well as experienced developers working on Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, sensor modules, logic circuits and small analog projects.
This full-size breadboard provides a total of 830 connection points. The main terminal area has 630 tie-points arranged in two separated strips, making it suitable for standard DIP IC packages, transistors, resistors, capacitors, buttons and small modules with 2.54 mm headers. The side power rails provide 200 additional tie-points, typically used for distributing VCC and GND across the prototype. The standard 2.54 mm pitch supports common male jumper wires and component leads, while the solderless spring-contact design makes the board reusable across many projects.
The MB-102 breadboard is rated for low-voltage DC prototyping and is commonly specified up to 36 V DC, but it is best used for low-current electronic circuits rather than motors, heaters or high-power loads. It accepts wire sizes from approximately 20 to 29 AWG, allowing compatibility with most breadboard jumper wire kits. Its compact full-size form factor, around 165 mm x 55 mm, gives enough workspace for small and medium circuits while still fitting easily on a lab bench, robotics chassis or project enclosure base.
