About Tactile Push Button Switches (6 pcs)

Build clean, dependable user inputs into your electronics projects with this pack of 6 tactile push button switches. These compact 6x6mm tact switches are among the most commonly used momentary switches in hobby electronics, embedded systems, DIY kits and small product prototypes. They are designed for low-voltage signal switching, making them suitable for microcontroller input pins, reset circuits, menu navigation keys, start/stop triggers and general control interfaces. A tactile switch is a momentary, normally open switch. In its idle state, the circuit remains open. When the button is pressed, the internal metal dome/contact closes the circuit and provides a noticeable tactile “click” feedback. When pressure is removed, the switch springs back and the circuit opens again. The typical 4-pin construction provides two internally common pins on each side; pressing the actuator connects the two sides together. This makes the switch easy to wire on PCBs, perfboards and breadboards. These push buttons are useful wherever a compact manual input is needed: Arduino push button input, Raspberry Pi GPIO buttons, ESP8266/ESP32 mode select keys, alarm circuits, toy controls, DIY remote panels, digital counters, electronic locks, reset buttons and menu keys for LCD/OLED projects. For microcontroller use, connect one side to the input pin and the other side to GND or VCC, then use an external resistor or the controller’s internal pull-up/pull-down setting. Software debounce is recommended for clean digital readings. Package includes 6 pieces of tactile push button switches. As with all small mechanical switches, confirm PCB footprint, actuator height and current rating before using in production designs or power switching applications. These are intended for signal-level switching, not for switching high-current loads directly.
