TT DC Gear Motor

The TT DC Gear Motor is a lightweight 3V-6V brushed DC geared motor for Arduino robot cars, STEM kits, toy vehicles and DIY automation projects. With a 1:48 gearbox, dual output shaft design, approximately 90 RPM no-load speed at 5V and strong low-speed torque, it is ideal for driving smart car wheels on both sides of the motor. Easy 2-wire control makes it beginner-friendly for L298N, L293D, TB6612FNG and other motor driver circuits.

About TT DC Gear Motor

Build reliable low-voltage motion into your robotics project with the TT DC Gear Motor, one of the most widely used geared motors for smart robot car chassis, Arduino projects and electronics hobby kits. This motor combines a small brushed DC motor with an integrated plastic reduction gearbox, giving a practical balance of speed and torque for battery-powered mobile robots. The 1:48 gear ratio reduces the high-speed motor output to a usable wheel speed, with a typical no-load speed of about 90 RPM at 5V and no-load current around 190mA at 5V. The motor works from 3V to 6V DC, making it compatible with common 2-cell AA/AAA battery packs, 4xAA packs with driver voltage drop, USB-powered test setups where current is sufficient, and microcontroller robot platforms. As a simple 2-wire brushed DC motor, direction is changed by reversing polarity, and speed can be controlled using PWM through a motor driver module. Do not connect it directly to an Arduino or ESP32 GPIO pin; use a suitable H-bridge driver such as L298N, L293D or TB6612FNG, with an external motor supply. This dual-shaft TT motor allows compatible wheels or mechanical couplers to be attached on either side, which is useful in compact car chassis layouts and educational robot builds. The motor is suitable for line follower robots, obstacle avoiding cars, Bluetooth-controlled vehicles, mini sumo bots, toy car repairs, conveyor demos and school robotics projects. Its lightweight construction, low inertia and shock-absorbing plastic gearbox make it convenient for beginner-friendly builds where easy mounting and low-cost replacement matter. In the box: 1 x TT DC Gear Motor. Pin/wire note: two motor leads are provided for DC supply input; many versions include approximately 200mm 28AWG wires with a 2.54mm male connector, but connector style may vary by batch.
