Details

The USB Type-A to Type-B Cable for Arduino Uno is the essential link between your computer and USB-B based development boards. One end has a standard USB Type-A male plug for a desktop PC, laptop, USB hub or USB power adapter, while the other end has a square USB Type-B male plug used on Arduino Uno R3, Arduino Mega 2560 and many compatible controller boards. It is commonly used as an Arduino programming cable, Arduino data cable and USB power cable for quick prototyping. When connected to an Arduino Uno or Mega, the cable carries USB 2.0 data signals for uploading sketches from the Arduino IDE, reading serial monitor output, debugging firmware and communicating with bootloaders. It also carries 5V VBUS from the host USB port, so many small Arduino projects can be powered directly during development. Current availability depends on the computer or USB port used; for standard USB 2.0 ports this is typically up to 500mA, subject to board and host limits. The short 30cm length is convenient for workbenches, classroom kits, robotics testing setups and tidy project enclosures where long cables create clutter. USB-B is mechanically robust and widely used on Arduino Uno/Mega style boards as well as some printers, CNC controller interfaces and laboratory instruments. The molded connector ends and PVC outer jacket provide everyday durability for repeated plugging and unplugging in student and maker environments. Typical applications include Arduino sketch uploading, serial data logging, sensor testing, motor driver experiments, robotics projects, embedded C/C++ development and powering small breadboard circuits through the Arduino board. In the box: 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A male to Type-B male cable, 30cm length. Note: colour may vary depending on stock; this cable is for boards with a USB Type-B port, not Micro-USB, Mini-USB or USB-C boards.
