The SG90 Micro Servo Motor 9g is one of the most popular mini servo motors used in India for robotics, embedded systems, RC vehicles and DIY automation projects. This SG90-type servo combines a DC motor, reduction gear train, feedback potentiometer and control electronics in a tiny 9g package, allowing your microcontroller to command a repeatable shaft angle instead of simply turning a motor on or off. It is a practical choice when you need controlled movement in a small space and at low cost. The servo is controlled using a standard hobby PWM signal, typically around 50Hz. By varying the pulse width, an Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico, servo tester or RC receiver can position the output shaft across approximately 0 to 180 degrees. Power is supplied separately through the red and brown wires, while the orange/yellow signal wire connects to the controller PWM pin. For reliable operation, especially under load, use a regulated 5V supply capable of providing peak current rather than powering multiple servos directly from a microcontroller board. Typical applications include mini robot arms, walking robots, RC aeroplane rudders, boat steering, camera pan-tilt brackets, ultrasonic sensor scanners, small grippers, smart dustbin lids, animatronics and educational projects.
