Details

The 6x6mm Tactile Push Button Switch Pack is a must-have basic component for building reliable manual inputs in electronic circuits. These miniature tactile switches are widely used wherever a compact, momentary push button is required, such as microcontroller reset keys, menu buttons, control panels, toys, remotes, alarm circuits and small embedded products. The switch body measures 6mm x 6mm and uses a through-hole 4-pin layout, making it easy to solder on general-purpose PCBs, perfboards and custom circuit boards. This type of tact switch is normally open, which means the circuit remains open until the button is pressed. When pressed, the internal metal dome contact closes the circuit briefly and gives a noticeable tactile feedback or “click”, helping the user confirm actuation. The four pins are arranged as two internally connected pairs; pressing the button connects the two sides together. For microcontroller use, one side is typically connected to GND or VCC and the other side to a digital input with a pull-up or pull-down resistor. The 6x6mm tactile switch is suitable for low-voltage DC signal switching and is commonly used with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi Pico, AVR, STM32 and other development boards. It is compact, lightweight and easy to stock in quantity for prototyping, classroom labs and electronics repair benches. Depending on the actuator height variant supplied, these switches are also useful behind plastic keycaps, front panels and enclosure-mounted button openings. Package includes a pack of 10 pieces of 6x6mm tactile momentary push button switches. Please note that these are PCB-mount signal switches, not high-current power switches; use them for logic inputs or control signals within their rated electrical limits.
