The HC-SR501 PIR Motion Sensor Module is a low-cost, Arduino-compatible passive infrared detector for sensing human or animal movement in automation projects. Operating from 4.5V to 20V DC with very low average current consumption, it combines a pyroelectric PIR element, Fresnel lens and control circuitry on a compact PCB. Ideal for students, makers, security installers and IoT developers, it provides a simple digital output for motion-triggered lights, alarms, cameras and microcontroller projects.
