TIP121 Darlington Transistor

The TIP121 is a monolithic NPN Darlington transistor manufactured by STMicroelectronics, designed for medium-power switching and amplification applications. It consists of two bipolar transistors connected in a Darlington configuration, providing very high current gain (typically 1000 or more), which allows it to be driven directly by low-current microcontroller outputs. This transistor is housed in a TO-220 package, ensuring easy mounting and efficient heat dissipation. Key features include a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 80V, a continuous collector current of 5A, and a power dissipation of 65W.
