Project Details

The ESP32-CAM Video Streaming project allows you to stream real-time video over Wi-Fi using a simple web server hosted directly on the ESP32-CAM module. Once programmed and connected to Wi-Fi, the ESP32-CAM generates an IP address. Opening this address in any browser shows a live video feed with controls for resolution, brightness, and frame rate. This project is widely used for smart surveillance systems, baby monitors, robotics vision, smart door cameras, and IoT monitoring. It demonstrates how embedded devices can act as standalone video servers.

How It Works

The ESP32-CAM module hosts a web server that streams video in MJPEG format over Wi-Fi. When programmed with the provided code, it connects to a Wi-Fi network and generates an IP address. Any device on the same network can access this IP address in a web browser to view the live video feed. The camera configuration controls resolution, brightness, and frame rate for optimal streaming performance.
