Project Details
How It Works
The system works by detecting infrared radiation emitted by flames. The flame sensor module contains a photodiode sensitive to wavelengths between 760-1100 nm. When flame is present, the photodiode generates a current that the module's comparator circuit converts to a digital signal (LOW when flame detected). The Arduino continuously monitors this digital input on pin D2. When a LOW signal is received (flame detected), the Arduino activates outputs: pin D8 drives the buzzer for audible alarm, and pin D9 lights the LED for visual indication. When no flame is detected (HIGH signal), both outputs are turned off.
