About 0.96 inch SSD1306 I2C OLED Display Module
Upgrade your project from a basic 16x2 LCD to a sharp, low-power 0.96 inch SSD1306 I2C OLED Display Module. This compact OLED screen provides a 128×64 pixel monochrome graphic area, allowing you to display multiple lines of text, bitmaps, icons, progress bars, sensor values and simple menus in a very small space. Because OLED pixels generate their own light, the display offers high contrast and wide viewing angles without a separate backlight, making it well suited for handheld electronics, robotics panels and IoT devices.
The module is built around the SSD1306 OLED controller, one of the most widely supported display ICs in the Arduino and embedded ecosystem. Communication is through I2C, so only two signal pins are required: SDA for data and SCL for clock, plus VCC and GND. This makes wiring simple and saves microcontroller GPIO pins compared with parallel LCDs or SPI displays. Most common libraries, including Adafruit SSD1306, U8g2 and many MicroPython SSD1306 drivers, support 128x64 I2C modules directly.
Typical modules operate from 3.3V to 5V supply, making them convenient for Arduino Uno/Nano as well as 3.3V boards such as ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico and STM32. The default I2C address is commonly 0x3C, though some boards may be configured as 0x3D depending on the solder jumper or manufacturer batch.
Use this OLED display for weather stations, battery monitors, mini oscilloscopes, 3D printer add-ons, GPS trackers, smart home nodes, robot status screens, wearable prototypes and lab instruments. The package includes one 0.96 inch 128x64 SSD1306 I2C OLED display module with a 4-pin header interface marked GND, VCC, SCL and SDA. For best results, confirm the I2C address in software before uploading your final sketch.
