5V Single Channel Relay Module
The 5V Single Channel Relay Module is a compact, optocoupler-isolated switching board for controlling one AC or DC load from Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP boards, PLC-style logic or other microcontroller projects. It provides COM, NO and NC screw terminals for easy wiring of lights, motors, solenoids, fans and small appliances, while the 5V relay coil is driven through a transistor circuit for stable triggering and safer logic-level control.

About 5V Single Channel Relay Module
This 5V Single Channel Relay Module is a ready-to-use electromechanical switching interface designed for makers, students, technicians and automation builders who need to control a higher-voltage or higher-current device from a low-power digital signal. Instead of driving a load directly from a microcontroller pin, the board energizes a 5V relay coil and mechanically changes the contact position, allowing one isolated output circuit to be switched through the Common, Normally Open and Normally Closed terminals.
The module is commonly used with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, NodeMCU/ESP32, development boards, sensor controllers and timer circuits. The input side includes VCC, GND and IN pins, while the relay output side provides screw terminals marked COM, NO and NC. When the relay is inactive, COM is connected to NC; when triggered, COM switches to NO. This makes the board useful for both turn-on and cut-off control applications. Many versions include an optocoupler input stage, transistor driver, flyback protection and LED indication for power/relay status, improving triggering reliability compared with using a bare relay.
Typical applications include home automation, lamp switching, motor control, solenoid valve projects, pump control, access systems, irrigation controllers, IoT appliance switching and educational relay experiments. The relay contacts are suitable for AC and DC loads within the rated limits, but mains wiring must always be done with proper insulation, enclosure, fuse protection and qualified supervision.
In the box you get 1 x 5V single channel relay module. Pin notes: VCC connects to 5V DC, GND to controller ground, and IN to the control signal. The load is wired through COM and either NO or NC depending on whether you want the device normally off or normally on.
