The official AI Camera adds a 12MP Sony IMX500 sensor, referenced at 4056 × 3040 capture up to 10fps, and is compatible with Raspberry Pi models. For a practical security build, the bundle also includes an HC-SR501 PIR motion sensor, active buzzer, jumper wires, cooling, storage and a 27W USB-C power supply so users can assemble a working prototype without separately sourcing every small part. Use it as a final-year mini project, smart surveillance prototype, AI attendance camera, pet monitor, lab demo or IoT alert system. The project can be expanded with cloud notifications, MQTT, Node-RED, Telegram alerts, local video streaming or object-recognition models supported by the Raspberry Pi AI Camera ecosystem.
