About Micro USB / USB-C Data Cable
This Micro USB / USB-C Data Cable is a must-have accessory for electronics projects, IoT development and general USB device connectivity. It is used to connect a computer, laptop, USB charger or power bank to boards and devices that use either a Micro USB or USB Type-C port, depending on the selected cable variant. Unlike charge-only leads, a proper data cable carries both power and USB data lines, making it suitable for programming, serial monitoring and file/data transfer where supported by the target device.
The cable follows standard USB 2.0 wiring for full-speed/high-speed USB operation, supporting data transfer up to 480 Mbps when both host and device support it. It also supplies standard 5V USB power for powering development boards such as ESP32, NodeMCU ESP8266, Arduino-compatible boards, USB-to-serial modules, battery charger modules, small test fixtures and embedded prototypes. For USB-C versions, the reversible Type-C connector makes plugging easier and reduces connector orientation issues, while Micro USB remains widely used on older development boards and modules.
This cable is especially useful in robotics, IoT, sensor logging, firmware flashing, classroom electronics, mobile repair and bench testing. Keep one cable dedicated for programming boards to avoid issues caused by low-quality charge-only mobile cables. It is suitable for USB 2.0 applications; it is not intended as a USB 3.x SuperSpeed, HDMI/DisplayPort alternate-mode, or guaranteed USB Power Delivery fast-charging cable unless explicitly specified by the connected device and cable variant.
In the box, you receive one USB data cable. Pin functions are standard USB: 5V VBUS, D-, D+ and GND for Micro USB/USB 2.0 data operation; USB-C variants use the Type-C connector format while maintaining USB 2.0 data compatibility.
